For the past 40 years, Maye Torres has been challenging traditional approaches to art, focusing on experimental and innovative imagery that combines philosophy, history, global cultures and cosmology.  Her award-winning art is in countless private and public collections around the world, including LACMA, Laguna Art Museum, Mexican Fine Art Center in Chicago, Capitol Arts Foundation Collection (Santa Fe), The Harwood Museum of Art (Taos) and 3 New Mexico Arts 1% for the Arts Commissions.  She was the inspiration behind the internationally recognized, award-winning Film: “Who Does She Think She Is?”.
